FAQs

Do I need therapy?

If you’re asking the question, then you probably already know. The truth is that therapy is a commitment to change, and if you’ve come this far then you’re already on the path. I offer a free 15 minute consult over the phone. Feel free to book a consult to discuss it further.

Where do I start?

The first step is finding the right therapist. Your therapist should be someone with whom you feel comfortable talking to, who you connect with. That might be me, and if it’s not that’s okay too, I’m happy to help you find the right fit. Again, I offer a free 15 minute phone call to explore that very thing.

How can therapy help me?

Meaningful change and personal growth that builds insight happens in relation to others and therapy offers you a place for just that. It’s an investment in your time and money, but more importantly in you.

What can I expect from my first appointment?

Typically, I plan a little extra time for the initial consult. Generally it’s about 60 minutes. We do not get too clinical the initial assessment. I ask questions about you, your past, and what brings you to therapy at this time. I’ll be open, empathic, sensitive and candid in my feedback, and we will decide together on a plan for how to proceed.

What are your fees?

The fee for a 45-minute session is $225 for an individual and $275 for couples. 60-minute sessions are also available for $250 and $300 respectively. I accept multiple options for payment, and I will provide you with a bill to submit to your insurance. Please let me know if it would help to discuss my fees further. I’m open to discussing a sliding scale fee. We can discuss during our consultation.

And what about insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider. I will provide you with a bill for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement per your out-of-network mental health benefits. Again, I am happy to discuss a sliding scale fee and payment plan based on your financial needs.
